Competition for Best Report of a Young Scientist

Traditionally, a competition for Best Report of a Young Scientist takes place during the VSU Conference. Only persons under the age of 35 are allowed to participate, as they should neither be habilitated ones, nor co-authors of a report and are supposed to orally present the report themselves.

A Jury selected among the International Scientific Committee members, present at the Conference, will award the 1st, 2nd, and 3rd places, and the winners will receive diplomas.

The evaluation criteria are the following: merits of the researched problem and the applied research methodology, demonstration of research skills; quality of the presented material - clear and consistent presentation of the problem and the results, aesthetic layout - colors, size of schemes, and fonts; presentation - adequate explanation of the material, rhetoric, confidence; observing the presentation time; answering questions - adequacy of the answers, conciseness, persuasiveness.

We wish success to the participants in this category!

Competition for Best Student’s Poster

The students have always been part of the VSU Conference, and this year for the third time, a special Student Poster Session will be held.

All students have the right to participate in this competition regardless of the higher-education institution they study in, regardless of the educational qualification degree (bachelor or master), of their specialty, the form of education, or their age. The main requirement is that the Students have to be the authors of the report and present it as a poster. A co-author of the report/poster who is not a student shall be accepted and recognized. Only one student is allowed to participate in the poster presentation. The Poster Session will be held in a specifically designated area in VSU.

A Jury selected among the International Scientific Committee members, present at the Conference, will award prizes and the winners will receive diplomas.

The evaluation criteria are poster reading time; distribution, quality and compatibility of fonts, images and text, visual appeal, ability to excite interest and encourage a discussion. Lastly, answering questions – adequate and concise answers, convincing arguments.

We wish success to the participants in this session!
